Converted School Bus Feeds Toledo’s Hungry
TJ Phillips, a PANG Industrial Representative of Midwest Conveying Solutions, is using his culinary talents to feed the hungry in Toledo, Ohio.
TJ, a former chef has a passion for cooking and helping those less fortunate. A few years ago TJ and a friend decided to make sandwiches and take them into downtown Toledo to pass them out to the homeless. They saw the need and appreciation of those they were helping and decided to do more.
Over the last few years they formed "Fellowship Matters" a non-profit organization with a mission to provide food and fellowship to those in need.
With the help of supporters like Tech International, the group was recently able to begin using a mobile kitchen created from an old school bus to feed on average 200 - 400 people every Saturday morning, 52 weeks a year.
